Newsletter Fall, 2010 Hello Everyone, Welcome to our first Farm Newsletter! We had a very good cria season this year with a total of 14 young'uns. Go and check out the 2010 cria page to have a peek at them or you can see them on Trudy's Facebook Page. We are very pleased with the cria from our new stud Qolmesa Arribista. Arribista came to us from Arriba Linea and is a son of CPeruvian Raphael, he has very few relatives in the west so if you looking for some new bloodlines you should consider him in your breeding program in 2011. If any of these cria interest you, give us a shout. We started our junior herd sire, TNC BB King of the Hill this year and are expecting several cria from him in 2011. We are happy to announce that we now co-own BB with Tiger Lily Ranch and Spruce Park Alpacas. BB just won Grand Champion Black Huacaya as a 3 year old over a total of 13 black alpacas at the Lloydminster Alpaca Showcase this weekend. We are very pumped about this, the competition was very stiff. We purchased a new male this spring, Archer Burt, that we are very excited about. He is a dark brown Kelowna's Sundance Kid son and is exhibiting beautiful fine crimpy fleece. We think he will make an excellent cross with our Sandman line. On November 6 and 7th Trudy will be attending the first CNASF East in Orangeville, Ontario. TnC Norah keepin' up with the Jones with her male cria TnC Mr. Tom Jones at side will be available at the sale, Lot # 26. We have several alpacas registered in the show including TnC Mr. Mister E, a Sculptor son from Avril, who just received a second at Lloydminster Alpacashowcase and TnC Pink Floydminster, a white Axl cria who also got a second at the Showcase behind the Supreme Male Huacaya. Both of these young males are for sale. Click on their links to see recent pictures and their 2010 histograms. We also have some fabulous fall special on our girls, we have several "make your own packages" available on our Special Promotions Page. Here we combine good prices with a range of colours, genetics and service sires to make it easier for new breeders to enter the industry with confidence. Our November feature alpaca is TnC Theresa's Okey Dokey. Theresa is a white female who is raising her third cria this year, a beautiful fawn Sandman daughter. Her first son TnC Emmerson Overdrive out of RFA D'arcy is now working as a stud on Golden Prairie Farm. Her second cria, also a male out of Polar Ice, had amazing fleece characteristics but unfortunately became ill last winter and died. For the month of November we would like to offer Theresa with her female cria at side, bred back in the spring to a TNC male of your choice for the very reasonable price of $8000.00. Theresa was held over this year because her cria was born in August and we wanted to shorten our breeding season up. Theresa is an easy keeper and a good mom. She has good solid conformation and nice fleece characteristics. She is out of TnC A Rose is still a Rose, our top white producing female and Aztec Mallki. Have your fleece sorted and classed by an Olds College Certified Classer. Cathy is now offering to sort and class your fleece on her farm or on yours. Sorting and classing adds value to your fleece, increases its marketability and saves you money in processing. The mills will be more likely to accept your fleece and you will have a higher quality end product worth more to the retail market. For more information or to book your fleece, call Cathy at 306-825-6265. All of our alpacas are sold with our farm guarantees. A viable cria is guaranteed with a breeding or the purchase of a bred female. We include free boarding for 60 days and will rebreed any female if an offspring is produced that you would not register. We provide strong after sales support. We have been here for 14 years and don`t plan on going anywhere but up. Come along with us.
